DataConsulting is delighted to welcome Jason and Abby to our Data Analytics team! Since the start of the year, we’ve been hard at work recruiting individuals who not only possess exceptional skills but also embody our company values. Jason and Abby, who come with experience and a real passion for data analysis, both perfectly embody these qualities.
Their addition to our team comes at an exciting time as we strive to elevate our data-driven strategies to new heights. We are confident that their expertise will enhance our capabilities and contribute to our ongoing success.
Jason
I’m an experienced data analytics consultant with a background of over 33 years at a Big 4 accountancy firm, specialising in extraction and analysis of data supported by rigour and attention to detail that the clients for whom I represent have come to expect. I’d describe myself as team manager, passionate about coaching and developing talent, and have experiences of creating tailored training programmes for both clients and internal teams. Also, having trained over 700 people globally (with typical class sizes of 15-20) I’m well versed to delivering training programmes, particularly in my preferred language tool of ACL.
In addition to training, I’ve designed large scale data transformation activities including data quality policies, ‘safe’ transformation processes, and I’m also comfortable in assessing business processes in order to identify data quality issues, and help clients avoid making decisions based on poor quality data and information.
Hobbies
I love seeing 80s bands, dancing to 80s music and I’m also a passionate computer gamer (although not games from the 80s!).
Proudest achievement to date
As a non-runner, I’m proud to have completed the Great North Run twice – the second time without stopping!
Hopes and expectations in the new role
To pass on my knowledge and experience, and to give our new starters a good grounding that will benefit them for the rest of their career.
Abby
I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in mathematics in 2022 and spent 18 months training to be a financial planner before joining DataConsulting.
Hobbies
My hobbies include going to the gym, going on hikes in the Peak District and spending time with our rescue cat, Sid.
Proudest Achievement to date
My proudest achievement is completing the Alton Towers 5k run as I have never been much of a runner!
Hopes and expectations in the new role
I’m excited to join DataConsulting and hope to learn as much as I can about data analytics, especially everything Power BI.
